The website of the convention is

i wish i could, but i live in aust, and there is no way i would be able to go.
My wife and I will be attending a seminar being held at the Cox Convention Center and we are staying across the street at the sheraton. So I would like to stay as close to the hotel as possible but still be able to eat at the Olive Garden. We are not familiar enough to know what will be closer.
There are a two about equal distance – 10 miles.
One by Penn Square Mall (NW Expressway) – a nice mall if you want to do a little shopping before/after.
One on I-240 – No indoor malls in the area, but a lot of strip-malls on I-240
See links below from google.maps.
You might want to check out Bricktown – a great place to walk to for eating, movies, ice cream, "river walk" (or "the ditch"). The city is hoping it develops like San Antonio – but it has a ways to go.
Spaghetti Warehouse would be comparable to Olive Garden

Are any public transportation services can be used on this transit: San Francisco International Airport -> 5001 Great America Pkwy, Santa Clara, CA 95054
Yes – take BART from SFO to Millbrae (go upstaris to the BART station level)
Transfer onto CalTrain to Mountain View.
Transfer onto VTA lightrail and there’s a stop near the Convention Center.
It will take close to 2 hours for the travel time and waiting time on weekdays. On weekends, there are fewer trains so may take longer.
Welcome to Silicon Valley!
I need specific quotes or things that he did at the convention. Please link to your source and NO WIKIPEDIA.
Langdon strongly supported strengthening the federal government; specifically the regulation of commerce, taxation, and the military.
He also served as a member of the committee that struck a compromise on the issue of slavery.
He said he "could not, in good conscience leave the authority for prohibiting slavery in the hands of the states".
He also made a motion to "add one more member each in the house of representatives to North Carolina and Rhode Island."
I will be attending my first comic book convention next week. Is there any sort of etiquette that I should follow at the event? Example: If the guests/speakers are mostly from Marvel Comics, would it be considered rude if I dress up as a DC character?
I would appreciate any advice or suggestions.
Cosplay (COStume PLAY) is quite OK, but just do not dress up too provocatively and if you r character uses weapons, you have to secure them to be "safe" (they cannot injure anyone)
Also, when you look over the merchandise, don;t paw it
Will there be a gun show @ the Int’l Convention Center in the near future?
Which International Convention Center? There are dozens of them in the US, as well as around the world.
Ok, so we have a democratic national convention where the party selects its nominees for President? Didn’t that already happen? Did the democrats and republicans pick their candidates from the beginning? I guess I am confused as to what goes down in the convention.
It is a ‘formal’ selection…where all of the delegates come together and cast their votes for the candidate of choice.
From my understanding, part of the Geneva Convention description of a Combatant/Soldier is that they are in Uniform.
What qualifies as a uniform and what purpose does this designation serve?
People have suggested changing the Geneva Convention, I think it would be wise to redefine what a Combatant is.
Is there a Fashion Patrol people running around saying "Stop shooting at us, where is all of your camouflage gear, we and the statistic people would feel better if I killed you were wearing it!"?
I think anybody running around armed and part of a group of people running around armed attacking my fellow soldiers should be declared soldiers whether they are in head to toe military uniforms or dressed like the Village People.
Read the paragraph further and realize thatan "Ileagal Combatant" must meet more criteria that just some BS uniform thing.
I do not believe you are really a soldier, as I have yet to meet anyone, including Base legal Personnel, who have any problemwith the section as written.
You really tick me off suggesting that Terrorists deserve combatant/POW status and that shows you are not a real ground pounder.

I am interested in event planning, if I get my bachelors in public relations, for meeting and convention planning isn’t that the same thing as event planning? I would like to work for non profit organizations, and frankly I am confused all around.
Not from my point of view.
Meeting and convention planning is about handling large numbers of people and working with the people who know what they want to present to make the presentations successful.
Event planning involves creating an event, bringing resources such as entertainment, food, decorating ideas.
A meeting planner would deal with the 41st Annual Conference of Professors of Greek Language
An event planner would put together a Greek weekend of games and food for the upper managers of XYZ Corp to share and offbeat and rewarding time together.
I know one reason for them is to confirm the candidates running for President. However, we already knew that Obama was the Democratic candidate and McCain the Republican candidate. Therfore, what purpose do/did the conventions serve? Also, what factors are used to determine what city hosts the conventions? Why were Denver and St. Paul chosen?
Thanks.
to pump up people for the elections, its an easy way to get people excited to vote, and mobilize
