The independent website "Adherents.com" has this chart (abbreviated and columns switched):
http://adherents.com/adh_rb.html#International
Religious BodyNumber of Adherents
…
. 16,811,519 Seventh-day Adventists
. 15,597,746 Jehovah’s Witnesses
. 12,275,822 …Latter-day Saints
The webpage had a footnote on Jehovah’s Witnesses:
[quote]"** Jehovah’s Witnesses: This 15+ million figure is the approximate number of adherents — intended to reflect all those who consider Jehovah’s Witnesses their preferred faith, regardless of current activity status. Figure is based on reported once-a-year memorial attendance (adjusted). Actual number of publishers was 6 million worldwide in 1999. Worldwide, the number of practicing Jehovah’s Witnesses may actually be higher than the number of practicing Anglicans."[unquote]
At one point do we start calling Jehovah’s Witnesses a mainstream religion?
I checked two websites, and apparently there are now more associated with Jehovah’s Witnesses than with the Southern Baptist Convention!
16,383,333 Jehovah’s Witnesses
16,270,315 Southern Baptist Convention

Are there any published figures to compare these two religions?
This seems astounding.
Most people I know consider us to be part of a mainstream religion. I think when people refer to us as a cult or our beliefs as unchristian they do not know what the terms "Christian" and "Cult" mean. Then again some others are simply misinformed as to our beliefs. I have seen so many answers and questions on here that show that people either do not know what we believe or are just lying about our beliefs. Religion is a hot button issue. Those who are actually willing to listen to us( and not just believe rumors, lies, misinformation, and misunderstood info) I think probably consider us mainstream. Those who do not wish to see us for what we are (people striving to serve Jehovah and follow the principles in the Bible) may never be willing to see us as mainstream.
Comment if you are! I am going! If you want to give me your email and I can get up with you. some of my info:

Is this a "BLACK" thing, or a "Christian" thing?
In 1968 WAR Protesters converged on the Democrat Convention in Chicago. The large groups of young people were getting their message across to end the Democrat Caused Vietnam WAR. During the Democrat Caused Vietnam WAR, over 58,000 Americans were sent to their Death, by the Democrats. GEE, they complain about the 4,000 dead in Iraq. Also, how many American Cities were attacked by the North Vietnamese. Does Obama or Obiden, know the answer, or maybe William Ayers will tell. A public service announcement from a Decorated U.S. Marine and a good looking Marine too.
The Obama Moron shika, thinks that Nixon started the Vietnam WAR. GEE Nixon took office in Jan of 1969 and the Vietnam WAR started in 1964. Actually, the GREAT President Nixon, was the humanitarian reponsible for bringing the Troops home and ending the WAR. Another example of Obama and his LIAR Pricks who just love being Pricks for Obama.
Oh, a cute Marine…I can’t stand it!! lol You have a very good point with this question. What whiny hypocrits the dems are, huh?

My husband and I are going to see the Tyler Perry play on the Friday the 26th. We want to go to a nice restaurant maybe under $100 where we can eat creole/cajun(soul food) near the Convention center. I heard of Mulates but just not too sure about them. Any suggestions…
We are not tourist, just never really ate near the Convention center.
I am from New Orleans and lived here my whole life (21 years)
There are not that many restaurants in the Warehouse District; there are more in the downtown business district, right next to it. Mulate’s is very popular and serves fine Cajun food, which is very spicy (hot!). Mulate’s is located at the corner of Convention Center Blvd. and Julia St. There is a food court in the Riverwalk Mall, across the street from Mulate’s, which has plenty of places for sandwiches and a Mike Anderson’s Seafood outlet. Emeril’s is the only other restaurant I would recommend in the Warehouse District, but it is rather expensive. It’s at Julia and Tchoupitoulas Streets. They serve Creole food.
By the way, Creole, Cajun, and soul food are 3 DIFFERENT types of food in south Louisiana; they are NOT the same, and are not interchangeable. Cajun food is what the decendants of the French Acadians eat, and it’s highly seasoned and very spicy–that is, they use lots of cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce. Creole food is a mixture of European, Caribbean and American influence, and is usually NOT that spicy; soul food is plain home cooking of certain dishes by Southern American black people. There used to be a soul food restaurant downtown, but I don’t think it’s open anymore since Katrina. It was the Two Sisters Kitchen, off Canal and Claiborne–I ate there a few times–excellent food and very filling.
What are some of the issues Barack Obama addressed at the Democratic National Convention. NO BIASED ANSWERS.
the economy/creating more jobs, alternative energy sources/oil dependency, the uninsured, education, ending the war in Iraq responsibly
Since World War 1 to the present time , many violations have been committed by all nations", who enforces and punishes the violator?
The ‘Geneva conventions’ are part of the body of international law that makes up what is referred to as ‘The Laws and Customs of War.’
In general these rules and laws are only followed by countries that are idealistic enough to follow the rules. For example (contrary to popular myth) the US strictly enforces the Laws and Customs of War during its military operations.
It is a sad commentary when we notice that the last time we fought an enemy who obeyed the laws of war – it was the Nazis.
Can anybody name the last time somebody was punished for a war crime when the victim was American?
I want to promote a show in a local hotel convention area. I need an area big enough to fit maybe 200 to 300 spectators. I’m looking in Southern California area. How much do you think it would cost to rent this space?
It is for a small boxing promotion. I just need chairs and some concession stands
Depends on what size and what "services" you will need. Do you need a stage? Do you need a projector or screen? Do you just need seating for the guests or will you need tables? Do you need an area set up for food/drinks? Too many variables.
I am an animation student that is interested in selling art work at different conventions. I noticed that most people were selling fan art at Anime Expo and I am just curious as to how this is legally possible. Would it be best to try to sell my (completely unheard of) original artwork or create some fan art? I never create fan art normally but I would like to get my name out there and show my ability and it seems that usually people swarm the fan art.
It is considered a copyright infringement to sell work depicting characters like Naruto, Batman, etc, since you would be using someone else’s creation for profit. From what I’ve heard, you can get sued for doing so.
However, companies tend to turn a blind eye towards such a practice, and some conventions have regulations upon the topic. I’d suggest researching the convention website and look up their policy about selling fan art.
