Im traveling to Kansas City MO with a group of 8 students for a college newspaper convention at the Marriott Downtown Kansas City from Oct. 29-31. What can we do for fun when we’re done with the day’s convention stuff. Are all the bars 21-and-up? Only about half of us are 21.
-Well i hear that the Power and Light District is hot.
(I hear, I’m not exactly old enough to enjoy most of these attractions)

-The American Royal Livestock Show is Oct. 28-Nov. 1
(although I do not condone this treatment of animals)
-There are a lot of sick Haunted Houses

-If I’m not mistaken, on Halloween night you can get a free Chipotle Burrito if you dress in aluminum foil, its definitely worth the long lines, I had lots of fun with my friends last year.

-Walk around the Plaza, there a tons of cool shops, and great restaurants. (some are a little pricey) might I suggest Winsteads, get a sky scrapper soda or shake
The bottle is clear with 2 girls on the front under an umberella. On the umberella it says A.B.C.B. convention. and under the girls it says 1947. On the back of bottle it says GLENSHAW GLASS CO.Inc. GLENSHAW PA. and has a picture of the company. It has a markig on the bottle of a G in a square on the neck and also has the same stamped on the bottom.. Bottle is about 5 or 6 inchs tall.
I have an old Pepsi bottle. I was curious as to the value of it. So I went on EBay and to my surprise. Their was several being sold. I would recommend the same search for you. Either that or try to contact this Glenshaw Glass Co: 3140 William Flynn Hwy

Gustov is just a Tropical Storm off of Jamaica right now… but if it goes over the warm waters of the Gulf it could become another devastating Hurricane…
Ray Nagin, the infamous mayor of New Orleans when Katrina hit, has already packed his bags and left the convention to help prepare his city…
Should some other folks go down and help him out this time?
Some other folks such as our current president maybe instead of sending an Arabian horse breeder down there to assess the damage?
I read that it is due to hit the coast next week during the Republican convention. I feel so sorry for the people of N.O today. My god, we must all somehow lend our support if they are devastated again.
I am traveling to San Francisco and will be there in late May. Any good concerts or conventions? Are the city pass or San Francisco Go cards worth purchasing?
Looking at the 2 side by side the go card looks like quite a bargian but I think unless you are superman finding time to do everything they cover would be pretty much impossible. In addition they do not include unlimited muni access so you would still have to pay for that.
The City pass doesn’t have as many options but it does include unlimited muni access. It is much less expensive over all and includes most of the things I would want to do on a visit to the city.
I guess it would depend on if you want to explore the city or spend all your time running from one attraction to the next. I’m more of a seat of my pants type traveler so I’d probably go for the Citypass.
Is there such a thing coming up soon?
Not that I know of, but these people would know if one is coming up.
