For those who have been to an Atheist convention before, what was it like?

Will there be stalls outside?

Will you be going to the convention in Melbourne, Australia next year?

What’s the gender ratio like? Is it close to equal or is there a noticeably higher percentage of one compared to the other?

I will be going. I’m sure it will be good, considering the calibre of the presenters.

I am just curious about the atmosphere and whatnot, since I don’t think I’ve ever attended a convention before.

I’ve always wanted to hear Dawkins speak in person. He has a lot of really interesting things to say. But I guess they talk a lot about science? I don’t know, but I love Dawkins.

I wrote the US branch about a week ago. They called me this morning and said I must write the AU branch for that information. I put the letter in the mail today, but I fear I just don’t have time to wait for their response. I would like to know all the AU locations so I can plan my trip accordingly.

Conventions are in the summer.

Australia is in the southern hemisphere, their summer won’t be for another 5 to 6 months.

If I remember correctyl, their conventions won’t start till then.

The Call for a Grand Convention

I recall many claims against the US regarding alleged violations of the Geneva Conventions coming from the press, the enemy and from the American Democrat party. There was much ink mostly about the actions of a few, not official US policy.

These are all clear violations of the Geneva Conventions yet I haven’t seen stories addressing this situation as such.

My question is WHY?
