Should serving members of the armed forces take an active part in politics for one political party?
‘Ex-Army chief Gen Sir Richard Dannatt has been accused of a "terrifying misjudgement" in agreeing while still in service to be a Tory adviser.’
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8407190.stm
"Former Lib Dem leader Lord Ashdown told BBC Question Time the appointment had broken the convention that the military should be independent of politics."
I agree with what Paddy Pantsdown said on QT. The military should be independent of political parties. It is a decision he should have made when he had retired not whilst still serving out his time in the amry. It was a politically motivated move on camerons part, around the same time The Sun swapped political sides. It’s all aload of tory spin.
HELP! What’s happened to my friends.?
Me and my friends use to hang out at the community service convention. It just melted my heart to see those old people’s gratitude when you gave em tht glass of milk or blanket…..But now they spend all their time at church! Here’s how it started: we all one day decided to go to church b/c this rather strange kid with swirlies in his eyes invited us. It was a teen oriented sunday school like thing, not really church and they had cookies and…KOOL AID!!! I had a cookie but I passed up the kool aid because I had brought a bottled water with me, i couldn’t say the same bout my friends. They all drank at least 4 paper cups full. After we left the church I couldn’t wait to talk to my friends about how silly what they said were and how obvious they were trying to put fear in us so we would join and strengthen the community or feel guilty…but all their eyes were glassed over and they just looked at me and said, ‘You are going to hell!’ and started chanting.. HELP!!! what happened to them?
I’m 15….lol..don’t have a day job.
haha…ty mama bear.
i say nothing cause this sounds made up
Are the 28 retired U.S. Military Generals who are endorsing Obama at the convention – are they Communists too?
Their careers represent hundreds of years of cumulative military leadership – and every one of them outrank the highest rank that McCain acheived in his military career.
Would THAT MANY Generals be endorsing Obama if they thought he didn’t have the wisdom or experience to be Commander in Chief?
Do you think, despite all of their service to your country, they all hate America too, like some say Obama does?
U.S. Patriot – Part of patriotism is being informed before making a statement or a decision. You haven’t found anyone who thinks Obama has the wisdom or experience to lead America? Obviously you’ve totally ignored the news, and despite the fact that it was in the question you’re supposedly asking, the 28 Generals who endorsed him at the Democratic convention. Don’t let your hatred blind you so much that you can’t even read, or listen to anyone else – patriot or not.
Senior-whatever… So, you checked the history on all of these U.S. Generals in just the last few minutes between when I asked the question and you answered it? Congratulations – that’s the fastest research I’ve ever heard of. How about we try the truth for a change, whether it fits our world-view or not?
I was listening to NPR tonight, and they were taking callers regarding Obama. One caller was an elderly gentlemen, retired, and served in WWII. He was thrilled to vote for Obama, and says he hasn’t been this involved in an election since Truman. That says something right there.
What do you think of the White House gate crasher couple?
I say Good for them.
Not so good for the secret service.
I had a friend who sneaked into the Democratic National convention several years ago.
There were several pictures of him hobnobbing with the clueless party leaders.
If it wasn’t such a serious matter I think it is so funny but I wonder will they get into deep trouble and the people responsible for letting them in do they lose their jobs anyway, boy the people at the party will be not as easy I think to go up to strangers and have their pictures taken with them Oh and By the way she was the best looking one there I loved her dress ha ha!
Is this pretty much what goes on at the Democratic convention?

what would you tell a regular customer who wants a room that the hotel is fully booked and resolve the problem
a regular customer calls in at a hotel to reserve a room but there is a convention so the hotel is fully booked,if you are on customer service what would you tell the customer and how would you resolve the problem at hand?
When I have had this issue as a customer, the best answer for me would be to offer a suggestion with contact number to a competitor while saying – " We, always appreciate your business so if we can serve you again, please call us knowing that we will do whatever we can to serve you".
What is a good restaurant in Boston for a 100 person dinner?
I need some help. In early November, I’m hosting a large event (100 people) in Boston and need a good place for dinner. We will be near the convention centre, so something around that area is best although we’d be willing to take a taxi too.
I’m looking for a great meal with good ambience and enough space that 100 people won’t feel too cramped. We also need a bar area to mill about before dinner. As well, we’d like the ability to choose our dinner over a shortened pre-selected menu (for example – 3 apps, 3 mains, 3 deserts).
Can anyone provide suggestions? Price really isn’t much of an option. I’ve budgeted $150-$175 per person (food, drinks, service, gratuity and taxes included).
Thanks for in advance for your help.

How many you senior citizens, served in the military and..?
…care to share details of where and when you served, and branch of service?
General Petraeus spoke here today, addressing the 91st Annual American Legion National Convention. One statement he made concerning war, that caught my attention was, (paraphrasing here) "It is not always about what we are against, but also what we are for." I like that statement.
Big John, as stated above, Petraeus was making reference to ‘war.’

Hm….
Yesss, C++!
C++ can define prototype function inside the body of function, even in main or child function.
But, u forgotten define heading() prototype.
And of cors, function should return a value.
