What is the definition of societal convention? I need it for a hw assignment and I tried looking it up, but found nothing.

a set of agreed, stipulated or generally accepted standards, norms, social norms, or criteria, often taking the form of a custom

When was the last time there was no clear winner during the first round at the convention?

My parents have talked about conventions in the past where no candidate came into the convention with a majority. Then during the second round of voting, all bets are off and anything could happen. Someone who isn’t even running could be elected.

Does anyone know if that’s even possible today? (I know it’s unlikely.) Plus, when was the last time this happened? What were the details?

60 years for the Republicans, per an article I read today.

Boy, wouldn’t THAT be scary….

Why do TV reporters bother asking convention goers what they thought of the speech?

Does anyone think a Rebpublican delegate is going to say it stunk?

Same thing at the Dem convention. They ask these delegates questions as if they represent the general public and not the hardcore party operatives.

Isn’t this inane!

I agree. I think they have to fill up air time and maybe give the appearance that they are doing reporting. I personally would rather that they go to a public place where people are watching the convention and then ask THEM what they thought – before the pundits start spinning everything.

When going to an anime convention can you buy the tickets outside?

I’m going to a convention on February and do you have to buy them online?
I don’t have a credit card, so can you buy it before like a head of time and or buy it outside?

Yeah you can. When I went last year I brought my ticket at the place.

You will have so much fun at that convention.

What is Minkowski Space and what does it have to do with Landau-Lifshitz spacelike convention?

What is Minkowski Space and what does it have to do with Landau-Lifshitz spacelike convention? Just dont have the time to research through all the work I’m doing now, any help would be appreciated.

Minkowski space: the three ordinary dimensions of space are combined with a single dimension of time to form a four-dimensional manifold for representing a spacetime. Formally, Minkowski space is a four-dimensional real vector space equipped with a nondegenerate, symmetric bilinear form with signature (-,+,+,+). This signature is often called the Landau-Lifshitz (spacelike) sign convention
