The Revolution has led to all the freedom, not taxes.
The state made do with the "assigned" and the requisition of the goods of the Church and the nobles, as well as the spoils of conquest….
im not too shure but the national assembly disbanded because it served its purpouse.. to create a constitution for france. after it disbanded the national convention was elected by the people but soon fell because of napolion . but i dont know much else about the national convention
Also, why did it get so damn violent? Tear gas and stun grenades? Wow. America is against the Republicans this year. Great example of a democratic America hungry for change.

Will McCain wait until the day of the DNC or will he announce immediately after Obama’s nomination? Is he even going to wait for the DNC?
McCain has the luxury of like a week b’tween the Dem convention and the Rep convention. I think he will wait until after the Dem convention to steal some of Obama’s headlines by announcing his VP then. He has nothing to gain by announcing b4 Obama.
I work for a superdelegate and I will be volunteering, but I was given extremely vague details about how to dress/basically anything. I’m not senior-staff or anything, just an intern, so I’m really clueless as to what to bring to wear! Any suggestions?
It really depends on where you’ll be and what you’ll be doing. Keeping in mind that it is almost never a problem to be formally dressed, I would suggest the following.
1. If volunteering at the convention but not staffing the super delegate, I would suggest something that can be formal but easily converted to causal (i.e., for a guy, khaki’s and a blazer, with a tie, but knowing full well that the tie can be put in the blazer pocket and and the blazer can be hung up – I am not sure what the equivalent is for women, but if you are one I trust you can handle the conversion)
2. If you’re going to be staffing the superdelegate, then I would suggest some more formal – especially if you will be attending lots of events with the super delegate and its really a business situation.
