Old Fashion Rotary Card Files

As I was setting up my new home office, I decided that I wanted one of those kind of old fashion rolling card files to store all my contacts information.

After searching online, I was kind of surprised to see that most all card files or “address books” are now electronic. It turns out that you have to search for rotary card filesto actually find them.

Now that it arrived, I couldn’t be happier. While I really like technology, I really prefer to be able to write down people’s name, address, phone number, etc. on a note card as it helps me associate a name with a face.

People Resigning: Is this the new Trend?

I notice lately that a lot of my friends and colleagues are resigning. Yesterday I was informed by a friend that he also resigned, is this the latest trend in our workplace? There are only few reasons that I think people here are resigning, number 1 would be greener pasture or High paying job. Its not a secret that the yearly increase of 5-10% is low. Considering that most of us cant even reach the 10% increase.

Number 2 reason I think is the latest software installed called Agent guardian. Aside from the software called Untangle which blocks some site that the office doesnt see fit for us to view. This new software is used to monitor everything we on our PC, it can even get our key strokes which means they already know the user name and password that we use. I think some of doesn’t like the changes thats currently happening and I wont be surprise that more people will resign soon.
