Bird Feeder Buying Tips and Advice On Squirrels

When looking for a new bird feeder you must first decide on exactly what type of food you will be feeding to your birds.

Then you should look carefully for good squirrel proof bird feeders, and find one that is going to suit the location that you want to place in it.

But please try and remember that the bird should be able to access the feeder easily in this in the location where you want to install your bird feeder. But also that you site it away from other predators such as cats and hawks.

Squirrels may also become a problem quite quickly, so make sure you think about the feeder location carefully before buying it. Look around you yard before you go shopping and decide where the best place would be. And give yourself several options incase the first one does not work out!

Location of the feeder is very important as squirrels can approach it from many different angles and heights and they of course because they can easily jump about 8 feet, especially the bigger ones, and when you combine this with the fact that they are very agile, you will see what a potential problem they can be.

Make it as difficult as you possibly can for the squirrels by choosing the best location. Then you can buy your feeder, but just make sure it is one that stops them taking the birds food!
