These are probably … These are probably the same people who oppose pollution free dams because they kill the fishys, clean nuclear power because there is a one in a hundred thousand chance of a melt down. Theres absolutely nothing wrong with making money, that whole starving thing is rather bad.
Sure, give the … Sure, give the lobby staff a hard time. You make their jobs more difficult whilst not making any impact on the actual people who can do something. Oh and wasting the police’s time too. You’re meaningless!
What’s an … What’s an insunuation? I ume you mean insinuation. Furthermore, rascaltwitch did not insinuate anything, he made a conjecture about both the meaning of my comment and my understanding of free market capitalism. Get it together grouch.
The protest is for … The protest is for a laudible cause, but the video should have been shorter. Showing the disinterested reactions of pedestrians to flyers handed to them hardly serves your cause.

I understand free … I understand free market capitalism, YOU clearly did not pay attention to the video. These guys are protesting Merril Lynch, a corporation, for financing of coal power plants. They are NOT protesting the government’s role in subsidizing coal.
They are attacking Merril Lynch and insinuating that the organization is full of fat cat billionaires who are “profiteering off of the backs of the lower classes”.
…And I would gladly lead the march to ban ALL government subsidies.
Dallen, you clearly … Dallen, you clearly misunderstand the concept of free market capitalism. If you think that energy corporations in America exist solely because of competition, supply and demand…think again. As one of the most subsidized industries in the world, energy, ESPECIALLY coal, is hardly “free market.” If you’d like to wave the flag of capitalism, I hope you’re ready to demand a ban on government subsidizing of industry.
I know, let’s put … I know, let’s put on a street performance that both attacks free market capitalism, AND over-simplifies the problem of global warming
I know, let’s put … I know, let’s put on a sarcastic street performance that both attacks free market capitalism AND over-simplifies the problem of global warming.
You have been … You have been called “scrappy” by some in the notably tainted corridors of power. I raise my fluted glass to you. Huzzah! cough. cough.
