Does an adult need to be present when registering for an anime convention at the door?

This is my first convention. I want to know if my parents can drop me off and leave, or whether they need to come to the door with us. I’m going with one friend. I’ve read that you need to have a picture ID present at the door. I’m only 13. Any help? Thanks :3

You need picture ID, so an adult will have to be with you when you retrieve the tickets

Unless you’re 18, you HAVE to have an adult buy the tickets for you. Once inside, if you’re 13 and over, you don’t have to have an adult standing directly with you at all times, but you still must have one in the convention with you.

Meaning: An adult has to come in with you, but you don’t have to hang around with them.

Are you going to the one on the 22nd? (I sure am!)
I think you only need an ID if you’re picking up tickets that you ordered online, but I suggest bringing an adult with you just in case.

Every convention I’ve ever heard of says that people 12 and under must have an adult (parent/guardian figure, so an 18+ friend works) who has a con badge with them at all times. Those between 13 and 17 must have an adult who has a con badge at the convention for however long they are at the convention.

But yeah. Basically, you’re going to need either a parent or friend (18 or older) who will be willing to buy their own ticket and stay at the convention (though not necessarily with you) until you decide to leave.

Edit: Read the con rules/FAQs closely and maybe even call/email them if you’re still unsure. But that’s what I’ve seen on the web sites for every con that requires a badge.
