Apparently you have only been to the N.O. for sight seeing, as you comment like a idiot I – WE – US – New Orleans know from this experience that we have God on our side and can endure! We were brought from our homeland in shackles, see which was last shall one day be first!! This has made us a stronger!

why didnt they evacuate in the first place before the storm hit the city. its good they saw the consequence of not evacuating. Good for them.

  9. thearcangel11 Says:

    That’s great in …
That’s great in theory, but what about the people that didn’t own a car to leave in? Do you really think that people too poor to own a car could afford a bunch of bus/plane tickets to get their families out of there? What about people that had no where to go? What about the elderly and shut-ins that couldn’t leave? It’s not as if they were handing out free tickets and hotel rooms where people could go elsewhere and be safe! It’s nice you could afford to leave, but wake up, not everyone could!

  10. thearcangel11 Says:

    This was a shameful …
This was a shameful clusterf*ck from beginning to end. You mean to tell me they couldn’t have at least FLOWN over and dropped supplies? Water, baby formula at least? Regular people from other cities/towns/states loaded supplies into their personal cars and drove them to N.O. for people yet the gov’t claimed they “couldn’t get in”??? I’ll trust my fellow man before I’ll trust the gov’t for help, because it was regular citizens that went there to help while the gov did NOTHING. SHAMEFUL.

a lot of people didn’t have the means. you’re stuck up. the MAIN reason people like you make statements like that is because these are black poor folks. black people wake up!!! most people in america are like neworleanstours: they hate your black and want you to DIE.

  17. pantera2012 Says:

    Katrina was like a …
Katrina was like a ing double barrell shotgun. One side was the fact that most of the people who were stuck in New Orleans didn’t attempt to evacuate then the other side was in’ Nagin and all the political bullshit. It aimed right at Louisiana and blew it the away. It’s sad but true……….

  20. RonQE Says:

    Arrogance, yes, …
Arrogance, yes, along with politics, with each person wanting to play “CYOA” and pass the responsibility.

There was also a frightening amount of disorganization and incompetence going on. Which was only made worse because just one year earlier National Geographic did a story about what would happen if a Cat 4 hurricane hit New Orelans. No one can say (like Bush tried) than no one forsaw this.

    1st world USA? …
    1st world USA? HAHAHA

  22. jmcampbell78 Says:

    If you watch “When …
If you watch “When The Levees Broke” and read Phyllis Montana-Leblanc’s book “Not Just The Levees Broke” it has a LOT of info in it that the media and government on all levels didn’t talk about.

  23. Bobbee2009 Says:

    dang!….i didn’t …
    dang!….i didn’t even know this.

  24. jmcampbell78 Says:

    Well, another …
Well, another screwed up thing that occured is the Red Cross DID show up with food/water/medical supplies on or around Sept. 1st-they were ordered BY the Blanco to leave because she felt the RC would “interfere” with Nat’l Guard and other government officials’ operations there. And Nagin getting on Air Force One bragging about the hot shower he got to take and the food he got to eat, all while his people (black and white) were DYING. Arrogance and lack of sympathy on both ends if you ask me.

  25. RonQE Says:

    The feds screwed up …
The feds screwed up (which is typical W admin MO) but you’re right. You can’t let Blanco and Nagin off the hook at all.

In fact Nagin really played this up in a very racist way. He lost his moral high ground when he did that.
