what would you tell a regular customer who wants a room that the hotel is fully booked and resolve the problem

a regular customer calls in at a hotel to reserve a room but there is a convention so the hotel is fully booked,if you are on customer service what would you tell the customer and how would you resolve the problem at hand?

When I have had this issue as a customer, the best answer for me would be to offer a suggestion with contact number to a competitor while saying – " We, always appreciate your business so if we can serve you again, please call us knowing that we will do whatever we can to serve you".

if you got no rooms for the time of the convention tell them you have no more rooms. are you sure, because i heard most hotels have another room around somewhere and assure them the next available room if someone leaves.

Well, depending on your chain and other avaiablity… first I would say I am so sorry, two offer another equal hotel compared to yours, if also available rooms to them, and if not offer either other hotel properties (same chain) phone number to call directly or the 800 number….
