When you are doing weight training exercise routines, your worst enemy is going to be momentum. But it’s also going to be the thing you will want to rely on the most. The reason momentum is so dangerous is because it takes your muscle away from the game.
While lifting weights, you will want to make sure you muscles are engaged the entire time. This ensures safety but it also ensures that you are getting the results you want. If you use momentum then you are causing situations where the weight is in control and that can lead to injury if things get out of control.
Make sure your temp is slow and you never use momentum unless the exercise calls for it.
