Technique acting typically circles close to the cult in describing some teachers, and their approach to “acting classes”. Originating with Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Sanford Meisner, the personality is nonetheless the driving force behind a Method class type. Knowing is about the student, acting is all about the actor. The teacher is the guide, or should be. They ARE NOT the subject. The class must be all about developing the actor’s progress. This is legitimately the temperament that the teacher should be instilling in the school, or classroom. But unfortunately, there are several pretty charismatic teachers that talk utter nonsense.
