Jeremy Paxman interview with Alberto Gonzales
Alberto Gonzales, who was President Bush’s White House lawyer and who told the president that parts of the Geneva Convention were quaint and obsolete. No doubt he’ll be asked whether he accepts responsibility for water-boarding and detainees being paraded naked on dog leads etc, all the horrors of what were quaintly termed “enhanced interrogation techniques”.

    As I reflect upon …
As I reflect upon American crimes against humanity today, in places like Gitmo & Abu Ghraib prison, it is no surprise that America is forever destined to carry the sign of Cain for the Hiroshima & Nagasaki bombings!

The longest America has gone without bombing someone is 2 years; America simply used the Nuremberg show-trials to hide itself in a haze of moral superlatives!

    I believe that …
I believe that torture is a hienious crime – but if you condone it’s use, as just being a technique, you should be a willing subject of just how horrible it is. That way when you justify the action on another human being, you can justly say, this is not that bad. So agreed – let’s waterboard Gonzales.
