It’s also an Arts Colony which included the Byrdcliffe Art Colony, founded by utopian philosopher and poet Hervey White. It’s list of residents include or included Bob Dylan, Carlos Santana, Milton Glasser and many respected figures. That’s why the area was chosen for the festival. We taught our children love, respect for others & self-sufficency.
