Also, why did it get so damn violent? Tear gas and stun grenades? Wow. America is against the Republicans this year. Great example of a democratic America hungry for change.

They do not represent the Obama campaign and never claimed to. None of their posters said Obama…..they are anti-war protesters….the same ones who protested Bush during his inauguration.

Why? Those people were at both conventions and they are protesting the war. The Denver police just did a better job of controlling them than in St. Paul. It’s also not the first time there has been violence at conventions.

No, it’s a great demonstration of the Democrats realizing they’re on the losing end once again, and they’re having their typical temper tantrums. Republicans are the war monger pro-violence folk, yet you don’t see any of us pulling that crap, do you? It’s sad that the Dems are so afraid for their nominee that they can’t even allow the opposition to give an uninterrupted speech. Wow, that’s fear!

Yes, actions requiring stun grenades sure does justice to the fairness and decorum of the Democratic party.

Don’t like your opponents? Tie up traffic, commit disorderly conduct, get arrested. THAT is the American way.

If Rosa PArks threw a fit and resisted arrest, rather than what she DID do, I would have no respect for her.

Why did they have to be democrats? They could have been some kind of free radical attack from people who don’t like what the sneaky repubs are doing and saying. That doesn’t make them democrats. Stop trying to give us a bad rap.

They were protesting just to protest and none of them have a clue on what is going on.
I did see a man on the street asking them basic question and their answers were stupid.
I don’t think that kind of stupidity is what America is looking for.
The so call protester were very small in numbers.
Please remember they show up at the D.N.C. convention too.

Did you not see the coverage of the protests at the Democratic National Convention?

Also, it appears you just heard about this and didn’t see actual footage. It was the demonstrators who were violent: breaking windows, throwing objects, stomping on police cars, etc. It was the demonstrators committing mass acts of crime, i.e. vandalism, etc.

I always found it ironic that protesters against war and for peace always tear up things when they protest.

sarcastic black man. I don’t recall the first amendment saying anything about using violence to convey your point. guess you forgot that.
I wish some moron liberal would try to break my windows. they’ll never get another chance to do it again.

thank God for the "make my day" laws in the U.S.A.

That is why for the first time I am prid of my country! Finally, a majority of Americans are tired of lies, smear and slander, and fear mobhering. How much more of this "I fought for my country" guilt trip from Mccain must we take? I personally don’t care about Mccains service, because the hit is an overall turncoat, and an overrated politician who is jealous and spiteful over Obamas success. And noone is falling for Mccains exclaim of change. The hit has been in Washington for almost 30 years old. And Sarah Palin is a scape goat and a distraction. After claiming Obama has no experience Mccain picks a Hillary wannabe who misuses her position as governor to get what her ambitions want done, not to mention her political base. Obama 08!!

um…. no. i think it’s a great example of the left not being able to
effectively protest, or assert their views.

it did nothing. made no point or argument.
only that the left and the far, far, left… are unraveling.

Okay, there were no violent protests at the DNC but there were at the RNC.

We can interpret this two ways.

One is your way, that America just hates the Republicans. I think the fact that the polls are pretty much dead even doesn’t support this.

The other is that there are elements among the Democrats who are a little less concerned with the law and the rights of their opposition, and willing to use violence to achieve their political objectives.

The hate is definitely coming from the Left. The violence is definitely coming from the Left. If there’s one "change" I definitely want, it’s for the hate to be removed from our political discourse, and violence to no longer be a tool of political parties. It doesn’t take a genius to see which side has a monopoly on both.

I guess the protesters at the DNC got overlooked by the press, or maybe they were embarrassed that they and their candidate would be protested. After all, isn’t the press the voice of every American? Wouldn’t want to give the wrong impression, would they?

It’s the only way they feel the can command attention. They are hungry for a change – the division & total collapse of America. You liberals really wear out the 1st amendment, sarcastic black man & when are you people going to start making sense when you answer good honest questions? Are we (Republican conservatives) so intimidating & so above your level that endless, relentless rants, pointless statements, & cutthroat policies are your only way to bring us down to yours? The comedy never ends.
