Will McCain wait until the day of the Democratic National Convention on August 25th to announce his VP?

Will McCain wait until the day of the DNC or will he announce immediately after Obama’s nomination? Is he even going to wait for the DNC?

McCain has the luxury of like a week b’tween the Dem convention and the Rep convention. I think he will wait until after the Dem convention to steal some of Obama’s headlines by announcing his VP then. He has nothing to gain by announcing b4 Obama.

He will wait for the most advantageous time to announce.

Right now, McCain is still gaining in the polls which means Obama is falling. Obama in a great number of polls used to be up by 15% now in some polls McCain is up.

Any presidential candidate normally gets a bump when they pick their running mate. McCain would do best to wiat.

Obama OTOH needs to stop his slide before too long so I owuld bet Obama announces his choice before McCain does.

    Momentum is everything.

its probably a good idea to wait as low as you can. politicians are ticking time bombs and you never know when one will blow up and take you with him. obama would have looked like a bigger idiot than he already is, if he took edwards. and then have edwards come out with a sex scandal.

If he does that will surely backfire. Annoucing Mitt Romney (or whoever) on the 45th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s March on Washington (August 28th) and his "I Have a Dream Speech" is not a very good strategy. Barack Obama is the first African American being nominated as the Party representative. Announcing McCain’s VP on THAT day is a sure fire way to have NOBODY (in the media) care about it. Not many people outside of the media will care on that day either. Baracks nomination will be historically unprecedented in America.
